Recruitment Agency Website Design & Development
The Backstory
Zest is a specialist recruitment agency in the education sector providing teachers and support staff to schools across Staffordshire and the West Midlands.
Bowler Hat built a site for Zest back in 2015 when the company was a small startup. Fast forward several years and Zest has established themselves as a market leader in education recruitment but the website was starting to creak and show its age.
The Challenge
Zest needed a fresh new website for 2022 and beyond. The site needed to be easy to use, have well categorised jobs, a powerful search listing, allow applicants to apply to multiple roles and of course, be fully optimised for SEO, Google Ads & Digital Marketing. This all needed to be done fast and for a reasonable budget.
Strategy & Approach
We saw no reason to reinvent the wheel here so we utilised the user-friendly WordPress Content Management System as the base.
Clearly communicating the brand values was important so we worked with Zest to clarify the brand messaging and ensure this was clearly communicated across the site.
For the design and development we created a custom theme along with a series of page templates so the team at Zest could quickly and easily add new content and have it looking the part.
From a marketing perspective we utilised a leading job listing plugin and configured this so Zest could easily manage and upload jobs themselves. We then exported and imported the hundreds of existing jobs and organised them in a new, search engine optimised category structure.
Finally we optimised the site to ensure that jobs were being published with the proper schema so they could be picked up by Google Job Search to maximise visibility on search engines.
