Bespoke Website Design

John Evans is a firm which focuses on providing interior design & architecture to high-end residential projects and the leisure & spa industry.

The Background

The client came to us with an outdated website, wanting us to streamline their content and to bring their brand into the 21 century. They wanted a website which did the brand’s high-quality work justice. The site was to break away from its sister site which focused on commercial projects and instead was to attract high-end residential & leisure clients.

The site was to:

  • Allow users to easily browse through a multitude of images
  • Ensure that the site loads quickly on mobile
  • Fully Responsive
  • Well Optimised
  • Portray the quality of work without much in the way of text content

We Delivered

The final goal was to convince people to get in touch. We achieved this by putting emphasis on image and the quality of work the brand had to offer. We provided way click-through links to the portfolio on mobile and kept the amount of content to a minimum, allowing the images to jump out at the user.

We allowed the website to showcase a large number of images whilst retaining a high level of UX by breaking down galleries into a three-tier system and stopped the number of images from slowing the site down by optimizing and manipulating the images and enabling a cache on the site.
