When deciding what to put in your website’s footer, it is tempting to put absolutely everything that a user might want. Usually, a footer tends to be quite short on the page, so if you add in everything someone might be looking for, it may look cluttered and unhelpful. Here are my recommended elements that you should add, so that when someone views your footer, they can see exactly what they need and don’t feel overwhelmed.   1. Contact Information   Instead of having your contact information on specific pages, adding your contact information into your footer allows the user to find ways of contacting...

If you’re a small business in 2017 and you haven’t got a website yet, you’re missing out - and don't even get me start on your small business SEO! When you’re running a WordPress website, you need to make sure it is technically optimised so that nothing slips through the cracks. This type of redirect did seem to be under-documented on the internet because as hard as I looked (about 2 minutes), I couldn’t find a semi-recent blog post for this specific issue. So I thought that when I find out what the solution is, I’m going to write it myself, so here it is. This one should be done in the .htaccess file of a website. For non-technical people, I highly recommend copying what’s already in the file...
